Vixen's Viper is a tabletop type telescope that lets you casually enjoy the starry night sky from your table. Viper's unique joystick controller allows you to slew the telescope speedy and comfortably.

At 3kg it is a lightweight telescope that prompts you to take out it to the home balcony or a camping ground.

Control the direction and the motion speed with the Joystick. The altazimuth mount features a high-speed dual-axis motor. Freely control the direction and speed of telescope simply by tilting the stick. The drive speed can vary from 2x, 8x, 64x, 128x 300x or 800x sidereal rate.

It has three operation modes for observational styles and informs you of the current mode with a red or green lamp.

OPERATING MODES:

Erect view: Suitable for terrestrial observation. The same orientation as the finder's field of view.

Mirror Reverse View: Suitable for observation using the diagonal mirror.

Inverted View: Suitable for observation through an eyepiece without the diagonal mirror.

The Maksutov-Cassegrain optical tube has a large 90mm aperture which allows excellent light gathering power. It can be installed on the other types of equatorial or altazimuth mounts with dovetail systems.

The Viper includes an erect-image finderscope with 8x magnification and 21mm aperture to help find target objects easily.

It operates on 8 AAA batteries (sold separately) and can be used outdoors without the need of finding a power outlet. It can also operate on the optional AC adapter connected to a 240v power outlet.

The base of the mount can be mounted on a deluxe camera tripod.
